The Stanford Dish and Pigeon Point Lighthouse

The Stanford Dish is a popular paved trail for Silicon Valley residents and Stanford students alike. The initial climb is quite steep. In a few minutes, you are up a good elevation and can see all the way to the other side of the Bay. On a good day, you can see the San Francisco skyline off to the distance:

The Pigeon Point Lighthouse is one of the State Parks in the vast California system. Sadly, while most people who “work” there are volunteers, if the State does shut down the State Park system, no one will be picking up garbage and the like.
